The Digital Learning & Academic Support Center is the premier individual and group workspace at BRCC. This state-of-the-art study space is where students, tutors, and faculty can collaborate, educate, and create–in person and online. 

The DLASC features a video production studio, small and large collaboration rooms, technologically advanced classrooms, and noise-reduced study pods. BRCC students also have access to in-person and virtual tutoring accredited by the College Reading and Learning Association, as well as technology tutoring courtesy of our Digital Literacy Technicians. 

No laptop or forgot yours at home? The DLASC has laptops, tablets, and headphones ready for in-center use by BRCC students.

Digital Learning and Academic Support Center (DLASC) Services:

Free Tutoring

The Digital Learning & Academic Support Center provides *free academic and technology tutoring* to all registered BRCC students either in person or via Zoom. We offer academic tutoring in the areas of Math, Science, and Languages. Our writing tutors can assist you with writing across disciplines no matter what stage of the writing process you are at.

We also offer technology tutoring for registered BRCC students, faculty, and staff, covering all learning platforms, websites, apps, and technologies utilized by the college (including Canvas and LoLA). 

For tutoring schedules and to utilize Zoom tutoring sessions, visit our “Digital Learning & Academic Support Center” Canvas course.

Alternatively, you may access SMARTHINKING online tutoring (24/7) via any course in Canvas.

Study Space & Technology 

The Digital Learning & Academic Support Center also provides a quiet study space for you to tackle your tasks and assignments while on campus. We have study rooms to accommodate small and mid-sized groups, classrooms for workshops, club meetings, and larger review sessions, and noise-reduced individual and duo study pods. While here you also have access to computers, printers, and other technology. 

You can even use our study rooms to access your Zoom classes with other classmates or to hold virtual office hours or review sessions.

Workshops

Participate in hands-on workshops on various math, writing, and study skills topics which will now be offered virtually. Announcements for these workshops will be made on Canvas and social media platforms.

Study Groups

The DLASC staff can guide you should you want to set up virtual study groups. You can host these study groups in the DLASC's Zoom session so that you have access to a tutor. Alternatively, you may also use Smarthinking to set up virtual study groups. Guidance on these is also available in the DLASC.
